Testing the Dublin theory  I was in Dublin when I decided to test a theory. I’d been told that if I looked lost, some friendly Dubliner would come and help me.  Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. Moments after I pulled out my map a lovely gentleman came over and walked me to my destination.  Thanks to having been lost multiple times in multiple cities, I’ve come up with a few ways to help you get “un-lost.”  1.  Bring a map. Sounds simple, but I’ve been caught without. Grab one from your hotel reception, bring a guide book, or download the appropriate phone app. 2.  Use tourist-friendly venues to get info. City bus stops and libraries are great options. 3.  Don’t be afraid to ask a stranger for help. It’s not a sign of vulnerability, it’s a sign of wanting to get where you’re going! Worst case scenario, enjoy being lost. I’ve managed to find some of my favourite spots en route to the places I’d initially planned to go.  Happy travels!  Kate Vancouver departures.
