On October 6, local pro skiers, Mike Douglas and Callum Pettit, and pro snowboarder, Mercedes Nicoll, had a chance for some pre-season product testing on the Blackcomb Glacier.
A La Niña weather pattern typically means cooler than normal temperatures and consistent heavy precipitation during the winter months. Last year, La Niña brought 1,567cm (616.9 in) of snow - the second snowiest season in Whistler Blackcomb's recorded history.
